Five on Friday {January 8th}

Hey y'all,

It is the second Friday of the year and I hope you are all doing well! It has already been a busy start of the year but I am sure that everything will settle down over the next few weeks and in the meantime I need to set aside time to be grateful and recognize things that make me smile.

Here are five things I have been loving this week:

one. Dinners with Friends. This week I have been able to get together with two close friends for dinner to catch up on life and then tomorrow night I have a dinner planned with the other members of the Saturday night kids ministry at my church! One of my goals this year is to be intentional with my time including taking opportunities to encourage others and grow in my friendships.

two. Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. If you ever participate in Lilly Pulitzer sales you know that they used to be chaos but now the virtual line has made that a thing of the past. You have to be patient but I think it all works out in the end. I ended up grabbing two Riley infinity scarves (Pooling Around and Neck in Neck) and the Largo dress in navy that I plan on wearing to a rehearsal dinner in June.

three. Accountability stickers. I like to plan out my workouts in my Erin Condren Life Planner and recently I have been into ordering stickers to help decorate. I do not go all out but I have a couple of fun stickers like this monthly bills set but I just started to use stickers as accountability. I use these gym bag ones for when I actually make it to the gym and then the dumbbell ones for when I workout at home.

four. Trader Joe's flowers.I bought some flowers from Trader Joes on Sunday and they are still going strong. Sometimes you just need to buy the flowers to remind you of the beauty of the Earth and bring a smile everyday.

five. Computer Mouse. Yep, I am that person. While I was home with my family, my baby sister Kate had a logitech mouse for her laptop and while I was at Staples this past weekend I grabbed one. I constantly use a wireless mouse at work but had never thought about grabbing one for my home laptop but it has been so great in navigating/researching a lot of things this week.

What are you loving this weekend?

Best,

  1. I LOVE having fresh flowers around the house. It sounds crazy, but just having a living thing makes my day so much brighter! TJ's always has great blooms, sometimes I also grab them from Whole Foods!

  2. Ooohh there is nothing like fresh flowers :) I love the bouquets that Trader Joe's sells! I've also bought some really nice house plants from there, too.

    Now that you're talking about a mouse, I think I could really use one at home myself! They make navigating way easier!
